Officers found four adults dead inside the home. ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Five adults were found dead Friday night in a south Georgia home in what investigators believe was an apparent murder-suicide involving family members who lived together, police said. Douglas police and Coffee County sheriff’s deputies responded about 11:09 p.m. to a report of an active shooter at a home in the Touchton Wood neighborhood.
One of the victims placed the emergency call, police said. Officers found four adults dead inside the home. A fifth adult was taken to Coffee Regional Medical Center, where the person later died. Investigators said they have found no indication of an ongoing threat to the public. The names of the deceased have not been released pending family notifications.
