What began in 2021 as a first-of-its-kind gathering for recruiters in the NatSec space has become a fixture on the cleared-talent calendar. What began in 2021 as a first-of-its-kind gathering for recruiters in the national security space has quickly become a fixture on the cleared-talent calendar. The inaugural ClearanceJobs Connect brought government and industry leaders together to discuss candidate scarcity, employer branding, recruiter burnout and the emerging Trusted Workforce 2.0 framework. By 2022, attendance had nearly tripled to more than 200 people, and the event had added distinct afternoon tracks for recruiting and security professionals. The program has continued to evolve with the market. In 2023, conversations ranged from pay transparency and proposal recruiting to veteran and cyber hiring.

The 2024 keynote put a memorable emphasis on “people first, mission always,” while the fifth Reston gathering in 2025 explored technical recruiting, leadership, AI, talent development, legal concerns and the practical use of recruiting data. Reston remains the flagship of a series that now reaches four cities, but its purpose is unchanged: to give the people responsible for building the cleared workforce a place to compare notes, hear directly from experts and strengthen the relationships behind the mission.
