USSOCOM selects Global Military Products as supplier under five-year, $19.5 million weapons, ammunition and protective equipment contract  Defence Industry Europe

Global Military Products has been selected as one of several suppliers under a new U.S. Special Operations Command procurement contract. Global Military Products has been selected as one of several suppliers under a new U.S. Special Operations Command procurement contract. The five-year, $19.5 million vehicle covers U.S. and foreign weapons, ammunition and personal protective equipment. The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract allows GMP to compete for individual delivery orders throughout the five-year term. Other companies selected for the contract will also compete for those orders. The scope extends beyond the supply of equipment. It also includes program management, logistics support, testing and packaging requirements. “Special operations forces require speed, flexibility and dependable access to equipment,” said Austin Gouveia, associate program manager at Global Military Products.

“This award reflects Global Military Products’ commitment to providing U.S. and allied forces with reliable access to critical defense equipment and capabilities.” The selection builds on GMP’s work under a previous USSOCOM IDIQ contract. The company said that earlier agreement involved sourcing and delivering weapons and ammunition in response to changing operational requirements. “This award also reflects our ability to perform under the previous USSOCOM IDIQ contract, where we excelled at sourcing and delivering weapons and ammunition while leveraging our global network and supply chain capabilities to respond to evolving operational requirements and support USSOCOM missions,” Gouveia
