A 50-year-old woman has been charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of her husband Sunday night, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. Tamara Cruz was arrested and charged Monday with murder after deputies responded to a call for service Sunday night at the Pines of Woodforest, an apartment complex located at 90 Uvalde Road near Wallisville, Gonzalez said on X. Deputies found an adult man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Gonzalez identified the victim Monday as Juan Cairo, 74.
