No injuries were reported after a small aircraft crashed in Boerne, authorities said Friday. BOERNE, Texas – No injuries were reported after a small aircraft crashed in Boerne, authorities said Friday. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said they received a report of the crash near Boerne Stage Airfield, which is located off Interstate 10 along Haddock Way. Jack Andrade, chief of the Bexar County Emergency Services District 4 Fire Rescue, said the small aircraft crashed and went up in flames “shortly after takeoff.” Investigators believe the plane clipped a nearby utility pole just before 2 p.m.
Both pilots survived, and no injuries were reported, Andrade said. Firefighters extinguished the fire and cleared the scene around 4 p.m., he said. The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the crash. Gabby Jimenez is a digital journalist at KSAT.
