WW 682 SEVERE TSTM KS MO 132100Z – 140400Z URGENT – IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 682 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 400 PM CDT Tue Oct 13 2026 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Southern into Eastern Kansas West-Central into Northwest Missouri * Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 400 PM until 1100 PM CDT. * Primary threats include… Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 80 mph likely Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY…Scattered thunderstorms are forecast to develop and intensify through the late afternoon and early evening. Supercells and severe multicells will pose a risk for mainly large hail (1 to 2.5 inches in diameter) and severe gusts (60 to 80 mph). A tornado is also possible before storm mergers result in coalescing outflow during the evening. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles west northwest of Medicine Lodge KS to 40 miles northeast of Kansas City MO.
