Florida A&M University’s homecoming night ended in horror and heartache Saturday, Oct. 24, after gunfire broke out following the football game outside Bragg Memorial Stadium, injuring at least a dozen people, six of them children. Cellphone video surfaced showing Tallahassee police officers trying to help victims by flashlight as they lay helpless on the ground. Another video shows police carrying a victim in what looked like a makeshift stretcher through a parking lot and crowd of onlookers. Other clips showed throngs of people running away in terror from the mass shooting, which will go down in history as one of the city's worst.

In a midnight news conference, Chief Lawrence Revell of the Tallahassee Police Department said a total of 12 people were injured, 11 by gunshots and another in the mayhem that resulted.
