When accounting for absentee ballots cast by mail, overall turnout as a percentage of active registered voters remains on pace with total 2022 turnout. Thursday. Raffensperger attributed the turnout to voter confidence and county administration. “Georgians continue to head to the polls in record numbers because they trust the system,” Raffensperger said. “This record-breaking in-person early voting turnout wouldn’t be possible without our county elections officials who work every day to ensure our elections are free, fair and fast.” In-person early voting in Georgia concludes Friday. Polling locations across the state will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
