Silynxcom Develops AI-Based Wearable Device for Drone Detection  Israel Defense

According to a report in The Defense Post, Israeli tactical communications company Silynxcom announced on October 21 the development of an advanced AI-based wearable system designed to alert frontline forces to approaching hostile drones threatening their operations. The announcement marks Silynxcom's entry into the counter-UAS market, an increasingly critical sector in modern warfare and security. The Israeli tactical communications company is expanding into the counter-UAS market with a body-worn system that identifies the acoustic signatures of airborne threats. The new device utilizes advanced algorithms to decode the acoustic environment in real time, establishing an auditory situational picture and providing combatants with an early, rapid response capability against unmanned aerial threats. Currently in the prototyping phase, the system is designed and built to monitor and reliably identify the specific acoustic signatures generated by various drones during flight.

The core technology distinguishes engine sounds from battlefield background noise, enabling continuous and accurate warnings for combat troops. By employing artificial intelligence, the wearable device rapidly processes complex audio data and classifies threats with high precision. The system is designed to meet the growing operational demand for effective protection against small aerial vehicles, which conventional radar often struggles to detect at close ranges, low altitudes, or across challenging terrain. While testing and development continue during the prototype phase, the device's compact footprint and high
