Volunteers help uncover hidden graves at metro Atlanta cemetery  CBS News

Earlier this year, volunteers began a community-wide mission at College View Cemetery to uncover the graves of people buried there. As part of that mission, volunteers uncovered multiple areas at the cemetery. The work has focused on graves that were not already uncovered in the areas reached by the volunteers. The effort is community-wide and is centered on College View Cemetery, where volunteers have been working since earlier this year. Multiple areas have been uncovered during the mission, which concerns those buried at the cemetery. Many more areas at College View Cemetery remain covered by brush and overgrown trees.

Those conditions continue to cover areas beyond the multiple areas volunteers have uncovered. The available evidence describes both the uncovered areas and the areas still covered by vegetation. Brush and overgrown trees cover many more areas at the cemetery, while volunteers have uncovered multiple areas as part of their community-wide mission. The mission began earlier this year and concerns graves of people buried at College View Cemetery. Many more areas remain covered.
