WWE star Lyra Valkyria's new look stuns pro wrestling fans

A bond between two friends on the “Monday Night Raw” roster appeared to shatter when Bayley called out Lyra Valkyria during the show in Dallas, which set the pretext for a match at the forthcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event in New York City.

Valkyria snapped in recent weeks. She turned on Bayley a few weeks ago when the two lost their chance at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Brie Bella and Paige. Since then, Valkyria’s character has gone under a radical transformation.

On Monday, Valkyria looked a little worse for wear. She appeared to be leaning into the character of a wrestler who looked broken by the string of recent missed opportunities.

Pro wrestling fans took notice of the character change.

Valkyria unleashed on Baley when she was on the mic.

“You should be the one apologizing to me,” she told Bayley, “For holding me back for an entire year. This is what you always do. You come out here and you make it look like you’re this victim. Oh, poor Bayley. Poor Bayley. Bayley’s friends always leave her in the dust. I’ve been stabbed in the back too. I just don’t come out here and make it my entire personality.

“And maybe, maybe if you weren’t so obsessed with all your past friendships’ failures, you’d be able to take a step back and see all of your problems. When I say this, I want to look you in the eye and say this. Everything I’ve ever made you feel good about, I was lying. You’re not a locker room leader. You are a doormat. Your face does not belong on the posters. You do drag down every single person you work with and you have always been the worst of The Four Horsewomen.”

The back-and-forth will eventually culminate in a match on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.
