FDA Advisory Committee to Review Peptide Restrictions Underway

Peptides are often being promoted by wellness influencers and podcasters as treatments for everything from injuries and aging and now an FDA panel is meeting to discuss whether to loosen restrictions and make them easier to get. But critics say there’s not enough data on safety and efficacy. NBC’s medical contributor Natalie Azar joins TODAY to break down the seven peptides being discussed and how effective they are.
