Rheinmetall Builds Out Canadian Plant for Ground Drone Production  The Defense Post

Rheinmetall Canada has broken ground on the expansion of its factory in Montérégie, Quebec, to scale production of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). The effort supplements 4,830 square meters (51,990 square feet) of manufacturing space and 2,230 square meters (24,004 square feet) of warehousing to the company’s existing site in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. The industrial strategy will directly support assembly, integration, and sustainment of Rheinmetall's proprietary Mission Master ground drone series and PATH autonomy kit. "This facility expansion is more than an infrastructure project," Rheinmetall Canada CEO and President Pietro Mazzei stated. "It’s an investment in the domestic defence ecosystem and our valued partners from coast to coast. Canada has a sovereign autonomy capability that is ready for production."
