Fort Worth man accused of killing stepfather after fight  Audacy

A 19-year-old man is accused of fatally shooting his stepfather after witnessing a physical fight between the man and his mother, Fort Worth police said. Officers responded Sept. 15 to a shooting on Sloop Street and found 40-year-old Kendrick Malone wounded. Malone died at a hospital. According to an arrest affidavit, Malone was arguing with his wife when her son, Eric Titus III, allegedly shot him from the bedroom doorway.

A second witness also reported seeing Titus shoot Malone. Titus left the scene but later surrendered to police, according to his attorney. He was arrested and charged with murder.
