The National Weather Service is forecasting a warm Monday, July 27, with a high near 88. Expect that heat to be paired with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1 a.m. Chance of precipitation is 90%. The evening low will be around 68, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch are possible. The weather service reported a slight risk for severe weather. "Primary hazards in thunderstorms will be damaging wind gusts and large hail," the agency said. The storms are predicted to affect much of Northeast Ohio: Erie, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula, Huron, Medina, Summit, Portage, Trumbull, Crawford, Richland, Ashland, Wayne, Stark, Mahoning, Marion, Morrow, Holmes, Knox and Ashtabula counties.

In the evening, there is a slight chance of showers between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. The night will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 63.
