Meta, Microsoft and other major tech companies are developing a range of AI products for consumers, from wearables to speakers. Technology companies are bringing a slew of artificial intelligence-powered gadgets to market — never mind the apocalyptic risks. The advent of generative AI, ushered in by the launch of ChatGPT in 2022, is now spawning a range of "intelligent" consumer products, from bag charms and smart speakers to digital work badges, that companies say will make people's lives easier. "The consumer AI revolution is just beginning," Dan Ives, partner and senior managing director of boutique investment bank Yorkville Ives, told CBS News.
