Mark Loftis, 39, was convicted of conspiracy to commit health care fraud and wire fraud following a 12-day jury trial that ended in July. In addition to the prison sentence, Judge Paul G. Byron of U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida ordered Loftis to pay more than $8 million in restitution and to forfeit more than $560,000. Loftis, of Cushing, Okla., worked with others and did not disclose to Medicare the ownership and management of Back Pain Home Supplies, which did business as EZ Medical Supply.
