Twenty-one projects across Saskatchewan are receiving approximately $55,000 in federal funding to preserve military history, honour Canadian Veterans and ensure their stories are shared with future generations. Veterans Affairs Minister Jill McKnight announced the funding Sept. 29 through Veterans Affairs Canada Twenty-one projects across Saskatchewan are receiving approximately $55,000 in federal funding to preserve military history, honour Canadian Veterans and ensure their stories are shared with future generations. Veterans Affairs Minister Jill McKnight announced the funding Sept. 29 through Veterans Affairs Canada's Commemorative Partnership Program. The funding supports community organizations undertaking projects that recognize military service and sacrifice, including museum exhibits, commemorative events and educational activities. The federal government says the projects are helping Saskatchewan communities preserve important pieces of Canada's military heritage while creating opportunities for residents to learn about the people and events that shaped the country's history.

Among the successful recipients is the Saskatoon Museum of Military Artifacts, which will receive $5,000 to renew and expand its Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) exhibit. The project will introduce new themed displays and interpretive panels, allowing visitors to learn more about the experiences and contributions of Canadian air force personnel, including those from Saskatchewan. The improvements will also highlight the service of Indigenous air force members and local Veterans whose contributions are part of the province's military history. Kevin
