President Trump Hits Stump In South Carolina As Midterm Home Stretch Nears NewsRadio 740 KTRH
KTRH-AM covering local news from Houston and across Texas. Another day, another rally for President Trump, as he continued his midterm campaign blitz with a stop in Clemson, South Carolina on Tuesday night. The President was there supporting Senator Darlene Graham, sister of the late Senator Lindsey Graham. She has been serving the remainder of her brother's term and is seeking election over Democrat Annie Andrews. The President touted the usual things like the economy, the border, and telling everyone to vote like he is on the ballot. But he managed to get a jab at Iran while speaking as well.
But among the new common themes at the midterm rallies has been protestors. Multiple once again interrupted the President, including one which devolved into a fist fight. Trump quipped that the guy throwing punches looked "like Evander Holyfield." Trump made the joke with Holyfield sitting nearby, joining him at the rally. While the protestors did not faze him, Trump said one thing about them does irritate him. The President will continue his midterm swing on Wednesday with a rally in Iowa. He will also head to Florida on Friday.
