SFO-Bound Flight Declares Emergency Over Odor: Report Patch
The flight took off from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on Wednesday morning, according to a KRON4 report. SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A United Airlines flight bound for San Francisco International on Wednesday declared an emergency before landing after an odor spread through the cabin, according to a KRON4 report. The flight took off from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at 9 a.m. and landed just two hours later at SFO, but not before declaring an emergency, according to the report.
It's unclear where the source of the odor was, but all 88 passengers deplaned safely, according to the report. Earlier this year, a Delta Flight from Southern California to Seattle was diverted to Oakland after the flight crew reported an odor. That plane was taken out of commission while a maintenance crew evaluated it, according to Delta.
