A St. Johns County contractor is facing criminal charges after deputies say he took nearly $37,000 from a homeowner and never completed the job. ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A St. Johns County contractor is facing criminal charges after deputies say he took nearly $37,000 from a homeowner and never completed the job. Steven Rounds, 40, owner of Incredible Kitchen and Bath, was arrested and charged with grand theft and misappropriating construction funds following an investigation into an unfinished home renovation project, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies say the victim contacted investigators Oct. 2, 2026, after entering into a renovation contract with Incredible Kitchen & Bath in April 2026.

Investigators say the victim made multiple payments totaling $36,875. Investigators say construction was repeatedly delayed, the company failed to communicate with the victim despite repeated attempts, subcontractors were left unpaid and the job site was ultimately abandoned. SJSO Property Crimes detectives say they believe Rounds knowingly obtained the funds under false pretenses and failed to use the money toward labor and material costs associated with the project. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Rounds on Oct. 27, 2026. The investigation is ongoing, and detectives are asking for the public’s help. Anyone who hired or paid Steven Rounds or Incredible Kitchen and Bath to perform contracting work
