The two-day virtual event gathered senior Army leaders and cybersecurity professionals to discuss strategies for addressing emerging cyber threats. The annual forum focuses on strengthening the Army’s cybersecurity posture and workforce and improving incident response. This year’s theme was “Modernizing Army Cybersecurity for a Superintelligence-Enabled Threat Landscape.” “Cybersecurity Awareness Month cannot be a box check,” said Lt. Gen. Christopher L.

Eubank, commanding general of Army Cyber Command. “Superintelligence has put us in a place where everybody on this net now needs to secure and defend. When the network is compromised, our lethality is compromised. So, if the network is not good, the Army is not set to do what it needs to do in competition, crisis and conflict.” As commercial software and superintelligence technologies evolve at an accelerated rate, Army leaders noted that traditional approaches to network defense must adapt accordingly. “We are seeing superintelligence advance at an unprecedented pace, bringing active security concerns across both defense and commercial sectors globally,” said Gabe Chiulli, acting Army chief information officer.
