Boil water advisory issued in Jackson County Atlanta News First
The advisory will be lifted after water quality tests confirm the water is safe. Because officials will not get lab results until Thursday, the advisory will remain in effect overnight. ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A boil water advisory is in effect for Jackson County. Customers on the Jackson County Water and Sewerage Authority system are under a precautionary boil water advisory because of pump failures at the water source, the authority said Wednesday. Some of the authority’s partnering water systems “have resumed their purchase of water from us and now have their own boil water advisories,” the authority said.
“Please make sure you are following the water system where you are a customer so you can get the most up to date information.” Customers should boil all water used for drinking, cooking, ice making and brushing their teeth until further notice.
