Columbus’ Franklinton floodwall activated following heavy rains  Spectrum News

The floodwall is forcing road closures in the area COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus city crews activated the Franklinton floodwall Thursday morning as heavy rain caused water levels to rise and flooding caused several road closures in the area. A city spokesperson said crews were installing floodgates along Greenlawn and Harmon Avenues as a precaution to protect Franklinton from rising water.

The flooding and floodgate installation have resulted in several road closures. Greenlawn Avenue is closed between Front Street and Harmon Avenue. Harmon Avenue is closed north of Frank Road, also known as State Route 104. The city said affected roads will remain closed until water levels recede and conditions allow them to safely reopen.
