Columbus Weather: More rain tonight with more pleasant conditions Friday WSYX
Tonight, showers and thunderstorms will continue to gradually move across the region as the stalled front remains just to our south. TONIGHT: Clear and comfortable. Low 64. FRIDAY: Mostly sunny. High 81. SATURDAY: Sct. rain. High 82. SUNDAY: Mostly sunny. High 85. MONDAY: Mostly sunny. High 83. TUESDAY: Mostly sunny. High 88. WEDNESDAY: Chance for storms. High 85. THURSDAY: Chance for storms . High 84. Additional storms will be possible through the evening and overnight, although the coverage should become more scattered compared with earlier today. The atmosphere remains extremely moist, so any storms that develop will still be capable of producing periods of very heavy rain. Some locations have already picked up significant rainfall, and additional rounds tonight could lead to locally higher totals, especially where storms repeatedly track over the same areas.
Friday will be a much quieter day for most of the region as the front settles just south of the area. Most, if not all, of the forecast area should remain dry, with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Temperatures will remain comfortable, although they will begin to warm compared with today's cooler conditions. Another disturbance will approach Saturday and push additional moisture northward into the Ohio Valley. That will bring another chance for showers and thunderstorms, although the exact timing and coverage are still uncertain.
