Dallas firefighters face burn injuries after battling blaze at home, officials say  CBS News

An early morning house fire call in South Dallas on Sunday sent two firefighters to the hospital with burn injuries, Dallas Fire Rescue said.The fire broke out just before 8 a.m. along the 4600 block of Wadsworth Drive. DFR said the fire at the one-story home was already in its advanced stages, with fire ripping through the roof. Crews worked the scene for about two hours before it was deemed under control. DFR noted three residents were displaced from the house, though none of them were home when the fire began. DFR said it notified the American Red Cross to help the residents.During the fire response, DFR said two firefighters suffered non-life-threatening burn injuries to their lower extremities, prompting them to be taken to the hospital.

Both are in stable condition, with one firefighter set to be released later in the day on Sunday, while the other will see further treatment.No other injuries were reported.
