Sunshine finally returns to the Mile High City, but the mild weather won’t stick around for long. The National Weather Service in Boulder says to expect sunshine and clear skies on Thursday, with a high temperature of 64 degrees. That’s about 4 degrees warmer than the average high for Oct. 29 in Denver, according to weather service archives. Calm winds will range between 5 and 8 mph in the afternoon, the weather service said. The Front Range urban corridor will see increasing clouds come evening time, with a low temperature reaching 42 degrees. Expect calm, east to northeast winds overnight between 5 and 7 mph, according to the weather service. The weather service reminds folks to dress properly for Halloween festivities over the weekend, as temperatures after dark will sit in the 40s on Halloween night, with some areas reaching the 20s-30s in the high country, the weather service said in a post on X.

Make sure you’re dressed properly for Halloween this weekend! Temperatures expected to be in the 40s across the plains, and get down to the 20s-30s in the mountains and high valleys. Mostly dry conditions expected, aside from snow showers in the mountains (20-30% chance) #COwx https://t.co/TiUjLwRiur The weekend ahead is predicting some mild increased clouds for trick-or-treating on Saturday, but expected to be mostly sunny.
