According to Grand County Search and Rescue, their team got a call for help around 11:29 p.m. related to a UTV accident that took place in the Hot Sulphur Springs area. A driver had lost control of the vehicle, ultimately falling about 250 feet down a steep embankment. A UTV driver was lucky to survive a major crash that took place on September 18 in Grand County, Colorado. According to Grand County Search and Rescue, their team got a call for help around 11:29 p.m. related to a UTV crash that took place in the Hot Sulphur Springs area. A driver had lost control of the vehicle, ultimately traveling about 250 feet down a steep embankment.

Twelve search and rescue personnel responded, along with people from Grand County EMS, Union Pacific Railroad, Hot Sulphur Springs Fire, and the Grand County Sheriff’s Office. The rescue team used multiple rope systems to lower personnel, equipment, and medical supplies to where the subject had ended up. Additional rope systems were then used to raise the injured driver back up to the trail, with the driver then transported for additional medical care.
