FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. – A military policeman with more than 10 years of service pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography during his court-martial… FORT LEONARD WOOD, Mo. – A military policeman with more than 10 years of service pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography during his court-martial Oct. 5 at the Fort Leonard Wood courtroom. Staff Sgt. Chandler D. Hummel, 30, assigned to 795th Military Police Battalion, 14th Military Police Brigade, was sentenced by the military judge to two years in prison and a dishonorable discharge from the Army. In June and July 2025, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children received two CyberTips from TikTok and Kik that Hummel used his accounts to download child sexual abuse material.

The Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division was notified and initiated an investigation. Following the execution of a search warrant, a forensic examination of Hummel’s iPhone revealed nearly 100 illicit videos and images, some of which included children as young as 3 years old. “The Army remains steadfast in its mission to aggressively investigate and prosecute CSAM and related offenses,” said Capt.
