‘Home Improvement’ actor Jonathan Taylor Thomas detained after traffic stop in Malibu  WLWT

Actor Jonathan Taylor Thomas was reportedly arrested following a traffic stop near Malibu, California, early Monday morning. Local news outlet KNBC reports that jail records show Thomas, 45, was booked by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department on suspicion of felony obstruction/resisting an executive officer, and was released the following day. TMZ was the first to report that the former child actor was detained in Los Angeles County. The sheriff's department reportedly said deputies pulled a vehicle over around 12:30 a.m. in Westlake Village and that Thomas was a passenger in the vehicle, KNBC and Entertainment Weekly both reported. The sheriff's office said Thomas got out of the vehicle during the traffic stop and resisted arrest, prompting deputies to conduct a DUI investigation, according to the news reports.

Thomas, who was the voice of young Simba in the 1994 version of "The Lion King," is also known for roles in the '90s sitcom "Home Improvement" and movies like "Wild America," "Man of the House," "I'll Be Home for Christmas," and more.
