Iran says U.S. election results show Americans reject the war

As the war Trump launched with Israel against Iran drags into month nine, he acknowledges its role in the GOP Colorado Democratic Rep. Jason Crow, who has won his midterm reelection bid, told CBS News how Democrats will address the war with Iran as the party takes control of Congress next year, saying, "The war has got to end." "Americans never wanted it to begin with. Americans for years have wanted to end this constant cycle of conflict in the Middle East. In fact, Donald Trump even campaigned on that," Crow, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, told Major Garrett on "The Takeout" on Wednesday night. Asked whether Congress plans to address the war through war power resolutions or using the power of appropriations to take away funding, Crow replied: "Yes." "We have voted on seven resolutions and passed two of them so far.
We should continue to take votes. Let people stand up," he added. "Appropriations is one of our most powerful tools. We have to be willing to do that too." When it comes to the future of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Crow said that future "should be short." "Pete Hegseth is incompetent. He was never qualified to do this, never should have been in the position to begin with. He needs to go," he said.
