The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is assisting Duval County Public Schools Police at Wolfson High School, officials said. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The lockdown at Wolfson High School was lifted after police investigated a threat that was found to be false. All students and staff are safe, Duval County Public Schools said. The district said that the school is resuming normal activities after a false report of a student who made threats of self-harm and harm to others in a message sent to families. Again, there is not a credible threat and the school is in the process or resuming normal school activities.

This morning, the school was placed on a lockdown as a precaution as police investigated a report that a student made threats of self-harm and harm to others. Following an investigation, police were able to determine this was a false threat and there was no danger to staff and students. While this was a false threat, we know this type of incident causes serious concern and frustration among students, families, and staff.
