Officers responded around 12:06 a.m. Sunday to a report of a man shot in the 150 block of Thumpa Avenue.Tre Foster, 33, of Athens, was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries. Authorities later identified 24-year-old Kendrick Faust as the suspect.Kendrick Faust was taken into custody Sunday and charged with malice murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.Police made the arrest with assistance from Safe Streets and collaboration from multiple law enforcement agencies.Authorities have not released a motive for the shooting or details about what led up to the incident.
