Man killed in fight near Ocean Beach Pier, San Diego police say  NBC 7 San Diego

A homicide investigation was underway Thursday after a man died during a fight near the Ocean Beach Pier. A fight turned deadly in Ocean Beach Wednesday night. Police have made no arrests and are asking for the public’s help. NBC7’s Nicole Gomez reports. The deadly fight involving two individuals took place at around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Abbott Street and Newport Avenue, according to the San Diego Police Department.

First responders provided life-saving aid but the man died around 9:45 p.m. San Diego police are searching for a person of interest. The department does not believe there is a threat to the public.
