Mipcom 2026: Netflix, YouTube and AI headline Cannes agenda – Señal News Senal News
The October 12–15 market will bring global executives together around premium IP, creator-led entertainment, AI, microdramas and new financing models. Mipcom Cannes 2026 opens on October 12, following MipJunior on October 10–11, with a program reflecting the changing economics of the global entertainment business. Distribution and co-production remain central, while creator-led IP, branded content, artificial intelligence and vertical storytelling gain ground across the market. Netflix and YouTube will headline Monday’s opening-day sessions. Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria will receive the Variety Vanguard Award and discuss the platform’s global content strategy, while YouTube’s expanded presence will focus on distribution, monetization, Connected TV and partnerships with traditional media groups. Banijay Entertainment chairman Jeff Zucker and CEO Marco Bassetti will also headline a keynote conversation on the group’s next phase of growth.
On Sunday, creator and entrepreneur Dhar Mann will lead a pre-opening session, marking the first time Mipcom has opened its program with a creator. The agenda introduces the MIP AI Entertainment Forum, alongside an expanded Creator Economy program and MIP BrandWorks, designed to connect brands, creators, studios and technology companies around content development and financing.
