Commissioner Kevin Bethel said Seiber's wife and other family members were able to be by his side before he passed. Seiber leaves behind a 7-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter, Bethel said. "This will be a period of mourning for us, but we will stand tall as a department and get through this together," Bethel said. The other officer who was shot was wounded 12 times. That officer, a 33-year-old with five children, is currently hospitalized in stable condition. "He's not out of the woods yet, but he is stable," Bethel said. District Attorney Larry Krasner identified the suspect on Saturday afternoon as 35-year-old Eric Lewis.
