Rachel’s post-tropical remnants deliver rain across SoCal. See a timeline NBC Los Angeles
Two systems taking aim at Southern California will bring scattered rain, possibly beginning as soon as Saturday and lasting potentially until Tuesday. Orange County and the Inland Empire have been seeing showers that will continue to ramp up in the overnight hours. Meteorologist Stephanie Olmo reports for the NBC4 News at 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026. Scattered showers fueled by Post-Tropical Cyclone Rachel reached Southern California on Saturday as another system takes aim at the region, making rain chances possible through early Tuesday. Rachel was downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone just before 8 p.m. Saturday. The first band of showers was delivered as remnants of Rachel, whose path appears to be heading toward Baja California, Mexico.
Although forecast models show most of the wet weather in the Inland Empire and mountain communities, areas to the west are also getting a little bit of rain. A quarter of an inch to an inch of rain is possible thanks to Rachel. The majority of the incoming rain will be experienced overnight into Sunday.
