Rain clouds about to make their mark across metro Atlanta  CBS News

Metro Atlanta residents may need to plan indoor activities for the weekend as a series of storms is expected to reach the area. The storms are associated with a cold front that has been anticipated for some time. Stormy conditions had held off across the area through the week, but that pattern is expected to change as the front arrives. The forecast points to a shift from the week’s delayed storm activity toward a weekend period when indoor plans may be preferable for people across metro Atlanta.

The approaching front is expected to bring multiple storms rather than the continued lack of storm activity seen during the week. Residents across the metro area may want to account for the changing weather in weekend plans. The anticipated arrival of the cold front marks the expected transition to stormier conditions after the area avoided those conditions for much of the week.
