The free, family-friendly event is set for Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. DAYTON, Ohio — Ohio families are invited once more to explore aerospace and rocketry at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force's Rocket Day. Children will have the chance to build and launch their own model rockets and partake in hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations and educational displays. “As the exclusive nonprofit established to support the Museum, the Air Force Museum Foundation is proud to support Rocket Day," said Seth Baron, CEO of the Air Force Museum Foundation.

“Enhancing the experience of young visitors with extraordinary educational resources that connect them with the Museum’s mission and inspire them to explore aviation, aerospace, and STEM is at the core of our mission." The model rocket building will be indoors, rain or shine, with kits while supplies last and the launches will take place outdoors, weather permitting.
