Travelers at the San Antonio International Airport may see delays or cancellations on Thursday after a ground stop in Dallas. SAN ANTONIO – Travelers at the San Antonio International Airport may see delays or cancellations on Thursday after a ground stop in Dallas. The Federal Aviation Administration halted departures to Dallas Love Field and Dallas/Ft Worth International due to thunderstorms. As of 8:20 a.m. Thursday, at least five flights between San Antonio and the two North Texas airports have been canceled. Click here to check the flight status at the San Antonio International Airport. >> THURSDAY: Approaching storms will bring afternoon rain with flooding potential to San Antonio Travelers can use their airline’s app to check flight status for delays or cancellations.

In San Antonio, it’s been a fairly quiet start to Thursday, but the well-advertised heavy rain is currently in the Hill Country. These storms have already produced over 2″ to 4″ of rain, and are expected to move into the San Antonio metro area this afternoon. Storms will be near San Antonio and the Interstate 35 corridor. With any rain, expect heavy downpours, which will likely lead to street flooding. Use caution around low-water crossings. There’s a high chance that the afternoon commute will be messy, and that after-school activities and outdoor sports events will be impacted. Rebecca
