‘Start Your Journey Here’: Army Community Service broadens reach, streamlines processes

Fort Knox, Ky. — Army Community Service program placement is becoming self-service with a new Installation Management Command QR code process. According to installation ACS officials, the “Start Your Journey Here” campaign will streamline the case management process and connect clients with the right service at any time. ACS specialist Richelle Reid said clients simply need to scan the code to access the portal and fill out the “Army Community Service interest form.” Once finished, individuals will be navigated to programs or services that best suit their needs.

The form will ask for identification, contact information and areas of potential assistance – family, finance, advocacy, etc. – before advising on available programs and services. According to Reid, the new QR code system is being implemented at installations across the Army footprint to ensure continuity.
