The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of West Eighth Avenue and Delaware Street in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Police said a driver was going west on 8th Avenue when they hit another vehicle. The crash caused the second vehicle to hit a Waymo, police said.

No one was in the Waymo at the time, police said. The two drivers were assessed on scene and did not have serious injuries. Police are working to determine the cause of the initial crash. Waymo is in its final phase of testing before opening its fully autonomous ride-hailing service to the public, the company said earlier this month.
