Atlanta trio convicted on gang, drug charges, Georgia attorney general says  Atlanta News First

Three Atlanta men affiliated with the “Rollin 60s” street gang in California have pleaded guilty in connection with drug and gang-related charges, Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr said. ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Three Atlanta men affiliated with the “Rollin 60s” street gang based out of California have pleaded guilty in connection with drug and gang-related charges, Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr said. These convictions stem from Operation Heatwave, a multi-agency effort led by the Atlanta Police Department (APD) in 2023, Carr said. Chiquille Bell, 32, pleaded guilty to violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act and possession with intent to distribute amphetamine. He was sentenced to 25 years, with the first eight to be served in prison and the remainder on strict probation.

Bell led the local drug operation for the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips, an LA-based street gang with deep roots throughout Atlanta, Carr said. Thirty-seven-year-old Marcus Thornton pleaded guilty to multiple felony offenses, including gang violations, weapons counts, oxycodone trafficking, and intent to distribute amphetamines back in March. Contrellis Brooks, 36, entered a guilty plea to a long list of gang, gun, and drug offenses back in 2024. The charges include three counts of violating Georgia’s anti-gang law, five felony gun counts, trafficking oxycodone, and intent to distribute several other narcotics, including Xanax and marijuana.
