NAM: Trump’s Elimination of The Biden Power Plant Emissions Is A ‘Game Changer’  NewsRadio 740 KTRH

Trump's EPA reforms are a step in the right direction, but the National Association of Manufacturing says more work needs to be done. National Association of Manufacturing CEO, Jay Timmons says the Biden rules were 'unworkable' and the permitting process needs to speed up. He said NAM and other groups objected to former President Joe Biden’s 2024 standards that were very, very clearly" at the time… "simply unworkable." "The timeline that was proposed by the Biden administration in 2024, just wasn’t feasible. Not that the aspirations for, you know, for cleaner air and a healthier environment aren't good aspirations," Timmons said. Republican Strategist, Melinda Preston, says you can’t work with all this red tape.

“We’re trying to work on that; that’s what trump’s big push is. That doesn’t mean that we don’t need to be safe. We will have regulations. Over regulating doesn’t benefit anybody.” She said. Preston says lawmakers need to include stakeholders in talks. “We need to go to the experts- which are the manufacturing companies, which are the businesses, and talk to them about what they need. Is that even realistic?" she asked. The Republican strategist says the Biden administration went too far imposing regulations weakening manufacturing.
