Severe thunderstorms continued moving across North Texas Sunday evening, bringing heavy rain, lightning, gusty winds and the threat of large hail to parts of the region.The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Grayson County and Fannin County until 8 p.m.The warning, issued at 6:20 p.m., included the possibility of 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail. Storms were located near Howe and Sherman and moving northeast at about 5 mph.Radar indicated the strongest hail core was over Howe, with the storm expected to move toward Bells, Whitewright, Ector and Bonham.Additional thunderstorms were developing near Pilot Point as storms formed along a boundary moving across the region.Forecasters said storms could cluster and shift toward the southeast during the evening, increasing the chance for showers and thunderstorms from McKinney to Greenville and Sulphur Springs.The Severe Thunderstorm Warning previously issued for Dallas and Tarrant counties was allowed to expire.Earlier Sunday, thunderstorms brought heavy rain, lightning and gusty winds to parts of Arlington, Grand Prairie, Cockrell Hill, Irving and surrounding areas.The Arlington airport recorded a 44 mph wind gust shortly before 5 p.m.

Forecasters said some storms could produce wind gusts between 50 and 60 mph.Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches were detected in parts of Johnson County over a short period. Fast-rising water could affect creeks, tributaries and low-water
