The company signed memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with 43 Korean companies to cooperate in airframes, components and materials, and mission equipment. In the large uncrewed aircraft segment, Hanwha Aerospace will jointly develop the Mojave Short Takeoff and Landing (Mojave STOL) aircraft with US-based General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI).

The company plans to establish research and development and production infrastructure in Korea and raise the domestic production share to more than 70% during mass production. It will also work with Korean companies to produce airframes and key components and materials. For small and medium-sized military drones, Hanwha Aerospace will combine Korean companies’ technologies in airframes, components and mission equipment with its systems integration and mass-production capabilities.
