AUSTIN, Texas – A Houston resident is nearly $4 million richer after claiming a $7.5 million Lotto Texas jackpot from the Sept. 5 drawing. The winner chose the cash option when the ticket was purchased and received $3,971,819.05 before taxes, according to the Texas Lottery. The winning Quick Pick ticket, which was purchased at a Kroger on Memorial Drive in Houston, matched all six numbers drawn: 14, 17, 25, 26, 30 and 37. The winner's identity was not released. The Kroger that sold the winning ticket will also get a piece of the celebration. The store will receive a $25,000 retailer bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
