Jacksonville and surrounding communities will mark 904 Day and Labor Day weekend with free neighborhood celebrations, live music, cultural events, family activities and major shows. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville and surrounding communities will mark 904 Day and Labor Day weekend with free neighborhood celebrations, live music, cultural events, family activities and major shows. 904 Day is Friday, Sept. 4. The annual celebration encourages residents to support local businesses, explore Northeast Florida and show pride in the region. LIFT JAX and VyStar will host a 904 Day Breakfast at VyStar Tower, 76 S. Laura St. Doors open at 7 a.m. The program is scheduled from 8 to 9:15 a.m., followed by networking.

Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan is scheduled to deliver the keynote address. The breakfast will also include remarks from LIFT JAX President and CEO Travis Williams, VyStar Credit Union CEO Brian Wolfburg and VyStar Vice President of Community Engagement Kemal Gasper. MyVillage Project will be honored for its work supporting families and youth. Explore Jax Core will lead a free walking tour of downtown from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The tour begins at the Visit Jacksonville Downtown Visitor Center, 100 N. Laura St., Suite 120. Registration is not required. Riverfront Plaza will host a 904 Day and First Friday celebration from 5 to 9 p.m. at 2 W. Independent Drive.
