Atlanta drivers frustrated by confusing private parking rules could soon get new protections GEORGIA — Atlanta drivers frustrated by confusing private parking rules could soon get new protections. The Atlanta city council is considering a Parker’s Bill of Rights that would require private lots and garages to clearly display prices, payment options and information about how drivers are monitored. Drivers would also get at least 30 days to dispute certain charges. "I left the car and came back in like two hours and they had a boot on my car because they said that I didn't pay, and I know I did pay.
It's very difficult to me," said Atlanta resident Carmella Young. The proposal would also require operators to disclose license plate reader use and provide clearer information for customers who need help, or want to challenge a charge. Spectrum News Georgia has reached out to the city for more information.
