The New York State Department of Veterans’ Services and Clear Path for Veterans will host the first-ever in-person Healing Haven for Military Spouses Wellness Retreat. ALBANY, N.Y. – The New York State Department of Veterans’ Services and Clear Path for Veterans will host the first-ever in-person Healing Haven for Military Spouses Wellness Retreat. The retreat will happen Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Clear Path for Veterans, 1223 Salt Springs Road in Chittenango. It’s open to spouses of active-duty service members, National Guard and Reserve personnel, and veterans. The cost is free for all eligible military spouses. Meals include complimentary breakfast and lunch. This inaugural in-person retreat brings military spouses together face-to-face for a full day dedicated to their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
“Military Spouses are often the people holding everything together, managing households, navigating complicated benefits systems, supporting loved ones, and making countless sacrifices that are not always visible to the outside world,” DVS Deputy Counsel Benjamin Pomerance, Esq. said. The event will offer hands-on wellness activities, stress reduction workshops, individualized benefits assistance and opportunities to build meaningful connections with others who share the unique experiences of military family life. Military spouses play an essential yet often underrecognized role in supporting those who serve. From navigating deployments and frequent relocations to managing family responsibilities
